falling from the sky
tears
though they are mine.
streaking across the sky is my pain,
darting through the night is the rain.
hitting my face, the water splashes,
across the sky, the lightning flashes.
drowning the pavement,
i wish i could see
the and water
and how it could drown me.
i want the rain to drown my sorrows
the rain to drown my pain
to separate me from the two
to make the world i know go away.
give me something new
let me forget
just let me get through
and, to the rain, i will submit.

well .. i'm weird, and was going through my journals the other day .. and there was actually a poem in one of my journals. well .. i actually think this one is somewhat decent (yay for me and my self-confidence!! hehe
 ) anyways .. so i thought i might as well post it - although it's kinda depressing but yeah. it's pretty good as a poem itself. oh .. and it was written ... uh .. <looks at paper> ... june 1, 2004 .. so there ya go. |
